The Land of Enchantment

After a sample of the Southwest for a work trip a couple years ago, I told my wife we had to go back to New Mexico. The landscape is so vast, surreal and unique. We flew into El Paso, Texas and headed straight North to Alamagordo. Our first place to discover was White Sands National Park. I knew I wanted to experiment with a red filter shooting in black and white film to get super contrasted images. After a sunset and sunrise in the Park, we headed up through the state. As we did, the landscape drastically become more elevated and mountainous to our surprise. We stationed in Santa Fe for the rest of the trip where the shadows, colors and textures of the town kept me inspired. We did day trips to Bandelier National Monument, Ghost Ranch and Los Alamos. Scroll down to experience it through my lens(es).
